Standup Paddle Surfing is the ultimate experience for people of all ages to enjoy almost any body of water. SUP is easy to learn and almost impossible to master. From a leisurely cruise around the lake to riding the waves, SUP allows you to get out on the water nearly every day of the year. SUP is also one of the few sports that work almost every muscle in your body from head to toe. Enjoy a relaxing ride during sunset along the shore or endure an iron-man’s workout. Let us get you started! Our lesson approach is based on MACkite’s nine years as the Midwest’s largest kiteboarding school. We offer professional instructors who put safety and fun at the top of the learning list. Our classes will get you started in flat, calm water in beautiful Grand Haven, Michigan and teach you the basics of standup paddling. We will cover proper stroke technique, foot placement/stance for optimal balance, directional maneuvers, self-rescue, and more. Experience incredible Michigan scenery on an hour-and-a-half tour lead by our professional instructors on your vacation (or just your day off!) with a relaxing Standup Paddle lesson on the shores of Lake Michigan or on the calm waters of the bayous. We provide an instructor and our truck filled with 6 paddle boards. You will get 3 hours of instruction and paddling all while enjoying the most important people of your life. We will come to your beach or we can set you up with a great place to paddle. Build a family memory that will last forever – at least until you book your next Stand Up Party! RATES 2-hour lessons: $60 for a single person reservation $50 per person for a 2-person reservation $45 per person for 3 or more making a reservation Daily at 3pm and 6pm through August 31. When looking to purchase your own gear, have some information ready for us before you stop in to the MACkite Surf Shop to make the buying process as simple as possible: - How much do you weigh? Will you be sharing the board? - Where do you live and what are the water conditions (i.e. waves, inland lake, river, etc.)? - If you have never tried SUP, do you have other water sport experience? (i.e. surf, windsurf, kayak, etc.) - What are you looking to get out of Standup Paddleboarding? (i.e. core fitness, relaxation, a fun activity for the kids, wave riding, etc.) RENTALS If you've got the basics of Standup Paddling down and would like to get out on your own, or you’re in the Grand Haven area on vacation and want an activity for the entire family, we offer rental boards and paddles for your use!
